Third Year
My final year project was on the design of a system that can sort household recyclables using machine learning and physical sensors.
This module focused on methods of business restructuring, and quality management systems.
It was taught by my favourite Lecture of all time. And here is the thing, it was during the COVID lockdown so I have never actually met the guy. All virtual but absolutely brilliant.
In summary the core of this module was on risk in finance. It then went on to discuss time discounting, insurance calculations and how ambiguity and uncertainty are handled.
Once again I picked Shell. This time I was carrying out a business strategic analysis.
My Achilles heel.
Built an ecommerce website from scratch using bootstrap, and php.

Second Year
This module focused on the net present value of capital and how to alternative ways of evaluating investments. Other topics taught in this module included Financial planning, and analysing financial performance; Investment risk and return, and portfolio theory; The Capital Asset Pricing Model; Short-term and long-term financing; Estimating the cost of debt and equity; Weighted average cost of capital; Capital structure, and market imperfections; Dividend policy and Finance for Small businesses.

Designed and developed a piece of software for a local company while working with a team of class mates.
We learnt how to write software requirements specifications, create design documents and manage a project as a team.
Learnt the basics of programming with MATLAB.
First Year
This module focused on the the foundations of programming, which included loops, conditional statements, and good programming practices etc.
This module was about applying mathematical principals in computer science. It included graph theory, relational algebra, set theory etc
Web development basics with HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
This module was an introduction to databases. We were taught what databases and DBMS’s are and their uses.
A large part of the module was on SQL
The module was about the principles of economics following the book the economy
Similar to computational theory this module was about applying mathematical principals in computing. It focused on matrices, probability, shapes in 2d and 3d.
Learnt basic conversational spanish
The first semester was on the foundations of management accounting which included marginal and absorption costing, cash budgets, linear programming, decision making and cost behaviour.
The second semester focused on financial accounting, which included: double entry bookkeeping, depreciation and costing inventories, accounting for limited companies, bad and doubtful debts and accounting conventions
